Tennis results data

Every ATP and WTA singles match ESPN lists since 2007, with every set's games and tiebreak points, seeds, rounds and draws. REST or MCP.

AcesAPI serves ATP and WTA singles results from 2007 to the tournaments under way now: both players, seeds, the round, every set's games and the tiebreak points when a set went to one, retirements and walkovers, and each tournament's draw from the first round to the final.

Main draws run from 2007 and qualifying from 2022, as ESPN lists them. Every match's sets are checked against the result line ESPN prints for it, and a record ESPN left unfinished is marked incomplete rather than served as a result. Ask for a day, a round or a season with get_matches, or one tournament's draw with get_tournament. The table below is read from the database.

Questions

How far back do the tennis results go?

Main-draw singles from 2007 for both tours, qualifying from 2022. There is nothing before 2007.

Are tiebreak scores included?

Yes. Each set carries both players' games and, when it went to a tiebreak, both players' tiebreak points.

Does it have aces, double faults or break points?

No. ESPN publishes scores, not serve statistics, for tennis. Match statistics here are counted from the score: sets, games, tiebreaks, deciding sets.

Can I use it from Claude or ChatGPT?

Yes. AcesAPI is an MCP server as well as a REST API: add one URL to Claude, Cursor or any MCP client and ask in plain English.

What it will not do

  • Singles only; no doubles.
  • Qualifying from 2022 only; main draws from 2007.
  • 711 records ESPN left mid-match (about 0.6%) are marked incomplete, with no winner.
  • Results land with the morning update, not live.
