The tours' weekly list of players by ranking points, as ESPN publishes it: the top 100 to 150.
The ATP and WTA rank players by points earned at tournaments over the last 52 weeks; the list is updated every Monday. ESPN keeps those lists back to 2007, the top 100 to 150 each week, and every one it keeps is stored with each player's rank, previous rank and points.
get_rankings returns a list (the latest, a season and week, or the list in force on a date) or one player's ranking history. A player outside the top 100 to 150 has no rank that week in this data.
ESPN is missing a few weeks most years, and nothing below about 150th. A gap in a player's history may be ESPN's, not the player's.
